Happy Easter everybody! Now regardless of your religion or background, I say take this day to think about your loved ones. My family isn't all related, and most of us aren't religious, but Easter has always been that day where we get together and act like the children we really are. While all of us are 21 and up we still love to do Easter egg hunts and Easter baskets. Though the hunts have become a lot more difficult over the years, it's still fun running around the neighborhood trying to find those colorful pieces of plastic filled with chocolate or coins.
Now if your short on budget there are a couple different ways to have fun like a child on this holiday. Your biggest friend is going to be your nearest dollar store. Getting things like plastic eggs, baskets, and simple basket fillers, will be easy. However we can assume our 'I spy' skills have increased since we were toddlers. We found the best way to hide your eggs is making it as hard as you can. Don't hind them in plain sight. Hide them in things, behind things, under everything! "But then they will never find them" you might be thinking. Well try this.
1. Keep the eggs color coordinated, each person gets their own egg color.
2. have no more than 10 eggs a person. If you have a lot of people go with less eggs. But every person has the same amount of eggs so you can keep easy track of missing eggs.
3. You can make it a clue hunt. Each clue found in a egg leads to the next egg. I would recommend keeping a list of the eggs locations and the clues. Keep it organized so you don't end up missing eggs along the way.
4. Make it extra fun and hide the baskets as well. If there's chocolate in any of the eggs or baskets, try not to hide them outside unless you live in a cold climate.
Another thing you can do is while you're at the dollar store pick up a few of those little wind up jumping toys. My family and I take the toys, line them up on the dining room table and let them race. It's incredibly hilarious to watch the toys flop around in all sorts of directions. The first toy to fall off the opposite end of the table wins.
I know this is a little late to be posting tips but I unfortunately only thought of this the day before. For future holidays I will defiantly try to post sooner.
I wish all of you a happy holiday and or regular Sunday.
